Brief Guide On How To Become A Life Coach

1. Choose A Niche
Life coaches tend to specialise in a specific niche, and not a bunch of them. Focusing on one niche or maybe two allows coaches to continue to hone their skills and to really become an expert at what they do. In general, there are many areas life coaches can venture into.

For example, you can become a business life coach and help people with things related to their business or help them gain the motivation to launch their business. You could become a career life coach for people who are stuck in their careers or want to transition to another career. Then there are life coaches who work within the weight loss niche, which involves helping clients lose weight and stay motivated throughout the course of losing weight. Another popular niche is romantic relationships, which can have a life coach helping people in their love lives.

Make a list of niches, including the ones previously discussed. Narrow down your niches to the ones you’re interested in the most. Then you can choose one or two before taking the next step.

2. Receive Training & Get Credentials & More
After you’ve chosen a niche, it’s time to get some training. Don’t worry because this doesn’t mean spending excessive amounts of time in a classroom. Instead, find online courses you can take, whether it’s offered by a university or a course on its own. For example, if you want to be a life coach in Belfast to help people in their relationships, then take courses that can boost your credibility as a coach that specialises in that area.

Earn a degree or certificate too. This will go a long way in convincing people that you are qualified to become their personal life coach. Do bear in mind that degrees aren’t typically required to have if you want to be a life coach.

Also, register your business and get insurance. You want to choose a business name that is catchy or you can just use your own name. The choice is completely up to you.

3. Market Yourself
After you do the above, it’s time to get clients, which you can do via social media. Create a business pages on social media platforms and advertise yourself via ads. It’s also a good idea to advertise yourself via YouTube and to create a website and to try to build an email list. These are just a few ways to market yourself.

As you can see, becoming a life coach doesn’t have to too difficult and it’s probably easier than you think. All you have to do now is take action today. Remember, the sooner you take action, the sooner you can become a life coach and start doing what you love to do for work.
